    Highlights:

    • Led the team that developed an in-house enterprise observability suite, which provides a single-pane-of-glass view for application status.
    • Implemented and maintained the CI/CD (GitOps) pipelines for the in-house observability suite.
    • Provisioned and maintained the infrastructure of the in-house observability suite using Terraform.
    • Implemented the microservices that collect the Zabbix and JSM on-call data in the in-house observability suite.
    • Provided support to maintain a self-hosted Loki/Grafana/Tempo/Mimir stack for Kubernetes Observability while optimizing the performance and stability of the stack.
    • Performed a POC to evaluate the effort to adapt OpenTelemetry for vendor-agnostic observability.
    • Implemented a script to automate the OTP authentication for Synthetic Monitoring, with the migration of a monitored application to 2FA-based authentication.
    • Supported the migration from ServiceNow to Jira Service Management in event management perspective.

    • Refactored the automated Python script to onboard vcenter VMs to Zabbix, to incorporate the changes needed with the migration from SNMP to Zabbix Agent monitoring.

    • Patched and upgraded the components and Kubernetes clusters owned by the team.
    • Migrated an application infrastructure deployed manually to terraform.

    • Implemented the GitOps deployment model for sensitive config data of an in-house Jenkins Platform.
    • Developed a Python script to generate a report of index storage usage across all the ELK instances and built a Jenkins pipeline to generate the report on-demand and periodically.
    • Supported migration from ELK to Splunk in log management and event management perspectives.
    • Performed R&D tasks and suggested potential improvements and enhancements to existing services and solutions.

  1. DeMedia: Decentralization of Social Media

    Abstract:

    • Social media networks, while central to modern life, raise serious privacy concerns due to centralized control and user data tracking. Despite the emergence of decentralized alternatives, none have matched the popularity of centralized platforms. To address this, our research proposes a decentralized social network architecture ensuring user data privacy and security. The proposed architecture promises true ownership of user data and decentralized data integrity and caching, offering a viable alternative to centralized social media platforms.
